What's on Ruby's Plate? Buttered Shrimp

One night, my impulsive workmates decided to sleep at our house. My mother prepared buttered shrimp and other seafoods for our lunch. But, this Buttered Shrimp was a blockbuster! And was word of the mouth at the office. So I decided to share this simple recipe to all of you.

Buttered Shrimp

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo Shrimp
1/2 cup Sprite 
1/2 cup Butter
5 cloves Garlic (chopped)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 Calamansi 
1 T Sugar
Chili Flakes (optional)

Procedure:
1. In a bowl, marinade the shrimp with sprite for about 15 minutes.
2. In a saucepan, melt the butter. 
3. Saute the garlic. Add the chili flakes.
4. Add the shrimp (set aside the sprite), salt and pepper.
5. When the shrimp turns orange, add the sprite, calamansi juice and sugar.
6. When it simmer, transfer it in a bowl and Wah lah! You have the most delicious buttered shrimp!

Sweet Sleep

I am a type of person who wants eight hours of sleep (although sometimes it reaches ten). I would rather go home and sleep than to join the guys for a night out. And since I love sleeping, I have watched TV shows and read  some informational articles on how to have a good night's sleep. Try these tips and then tell me if it works for you ('coz it works for me).






1. Drink Milk and Eat Banana before sleeping.








2. Eat your dinner no less than three hours before going to bed.
3. Do not skip your dinner. You might wake up in the middle of the night due to starvation.



4. Don't drink coffee or anything that contains caffeine before you sleep.



5. Avoid exercising before you sleep.



6.  Keep your room clean,  dim and cool.
